A new bathroom in an otherwise finished house
The rest of the home is clean and this room is still dusty and stickered.
Who it is for
The rest of the home is clean and this room is still dusty and stickered.
Dust from the stair has settled on the new tray and glass.
You want grit out of the channel and film off the screen.
Variants
Bath or tray, basin, WC, tiles and the floor.
The glass and the track, where grit hides.
One wet room inside a full after-construction visit.
How the visit runs
The order keeps dust from being wiped into a paste or walked back onto a clean floor.
Fresh silicone is left alone.
Otherwise it is washed onto the tray.
Film and spots, without a harsh pad on a new screen.
So the room you walk out of is the finished one.

You receive a quote for this property. Two homes with the same number of rooms can take very different time, so there is no flat price on this page.

Problems
People notice a dull screen, grit in the shower channel, and a white film on black tiles. Stickers on a new tray are the other common leftover. Failed silicone and a leak are a resealing job, not a clean. We will say so.
Before and after
Wait until silicone has set and the fitter has gone. Remove towels and loose bottles. Tell us if any tile was treated with a sealer that is still curing. After the clean, a normal shower is fine once everything is dry.
The bathroom stays clean if no one is still cutting tiles or sanding the landing. A new dullness on the screen after that is usually fresh dust from elsewhere in the house, which a sparkle will lift.
FAQ
Sanitary ware, taps, tiles, glass, the shower channel and the floor. Set silicone is left in place. We do not reseal or retile.
Light haze that lifts with the right product can be included when we have seen it. Heavy adhesive left by the tiler is quoted as paint and adhesive removal, not hidden inside a bathroom wipe.
No. This is construction residue on a new bathroom. Black mould from daily use, and a failed shower seal, are a different trade. Say what you can see and we will tell you if we are the wrong booking.
Yes, once the room is dry and any product smell has gone. If silicone was still soft when we arrived, we will have left it and told you.
If only that room was refurbished, yes. If the landing and bedrooms are also filmed with dust, book the full after-construction clean and include the bathroom in it.
