People notice grey footprints on a new floor, or a carpet that puffs white dust when you walk. If the carpet was laid and then a wall was sanded, the pile holds that dust. If the floor is still being tiled, it is too early.
Before and after
Prep, and how long it should last
Stop dusty work first. Tell us the floor type so we do not over-wet a new timber finish. Keep rugs and sofas off until the floor is dry. A light vacuum the next day is normal on carpet.
If the dust comes back
A floor clean lasts if the build is finished. New grit means someone is still cutting or walking soil inside. A carpet that was sanded on will look better, but it will not look showroom-new if the dust was ground in for weeks.

Can you clean floors after builders without damaging a new finish?
Yes, when we know the material. Grit is lifted before any wash, and water is kept light on timber. Tell us if a sealer has just gone down and is still curing.
Is a builders carpet clean the same as a rented carpet shampoo?
No. This visit is about construction dust and grit in a carpet that is already down. Everyday hire stains and pet marks are a different brief. Describe what you can see.
Should carpet be fitted before or after the clean?
After the heavy dust is gone, if you have the choice. If it is already down, we vacuum it as part of this visit and say if a later sparkle is wiser.
Do you remove paint from floors?
Light spots can be included when we have seen them. A floor spattered with paint is quoted with paint and adhesive removal so the time is not hidden inside a floor wash.
How is floor cleaning priced?
On the area, the material, how much grit is in it, and whether stairs and carpets are included. You get a quote for the property. There is no price per room on this site.
