The symptom is a white line on every skirting and a cloth that goes grey in one pass. If the plaster is still dark and cool, it is too soon. If only one wall was filled and sanded with the door shut, you may not need a whole-house visit. Say which it is.

Prep, and how long it should last
Wait until the plasterer says the walls can be touched. Keep fabrics out. After we leave, let dust in the air settle and vacuum the floors the next morning before you unpack.
If the dust comes back
Plaster dust should not keep returning once sanding has stopped and the settlement vacuum is done. A new white film means someone sanded again. Book a short return for that, rather than expecting the first visit to survive it.

How do you remove plaster dust without spreading it?
Fine dust is vacuumed before anything is wiped, with doors to finished rooms kept shut. Wiping first smears it. A broom spreads it.
Can you clean while plaster is still drying?
No. Damp plaster marks. We wait until it can be touched. If we arrive and it is still green, we will say so and rebook.
Will plaster dust come back the next day?
A light settlement on flat surfaces is normal and is why we suggest a vacuum the next morning. A heavy new film means more sanding, not a failed removal.
Is plaster dust the same as a full after construction clean?
Plaster dust removal is the right visit when the problem is that white film. If you also need kitchens, bathrooms and debris, book the full after construction clean and say plaster is the dust.
Can I remove plaster dust myself?
A single closed room, possibly, if you vacuum with a suitable filter before you wipe and you are not in a hurry. A stairwell and several rooms usually defeat a household machine and get walked through the house.
